SPL Frontliner News: The new SPL Frontliner is the combination of Sound Performance Labs's best audio shaping circuits, combined to form one devastatingly awesome channels strip.

Taking the torch from the SPL Channel One as the company's new flagship front-end, the FRONTLINER provides preamplification, de-essing, compression and equalization for almost any source, for the most demanding professional projects. A front-mounted, hi-z instrument input allows for easy direct recording of guitars and basses.
The Frontliner's preamp section features separate transistor and tube stages for a wealth of different core tonalities; a dedicated tube saturation control lets the user blend any amount of warmth or even distortion into the otherwise transparent transistor signal.
The EQ section is three-band, with variable frequency on the low- and mid-band controls. The compressor features controls for attack, release, threshold, ratio, and make-up gain. A Simple, one-knob de-esser uses phase cancellation for sibilance reduction.
Perhaps the coolest feature of the FRONTLINER is on it's rear-panel. Plentiful, analog I/O routing options allow the user to send a signal through one of the strip's modules at a a time. Should you so choose, you could use only the unit';s de-esser or compression sections on a signal, making the Frontliner practical as a mixing processor as well ans a tracking unit.
