RebelHead450 boasts better tube amp emulation than most transistor designs to what TC credits as a failure to account for the “crucial characteristics of the full preamp and power amp sections”. The RebelHead450 also provides a wider tonal range than most bass amps and you can access semi-parametric bands to really zero in on a frequency you want to boost or cut.
The RH450 contains back panel rehearsal inputs. A supplied mini-jack to RCA cable lets you send sound from your iPod, phone, computer or MP3 player so you can practice and for practice that won't disturb the neighbors, TC Electronic takes the high-quality headphone amp from their Studio Konnekt 48 interface and includes a speaker filter that lets you take out the bass signal from your song source so you can fill in with your own basslines. Finally, RebelHead450’s SpectraComp technology allows virtually ‘per string’ multi-band compression that evens out the compression across all strings.
