Tanglewood MasterDesign News: Tanglewood have teamed up with Master Luthier Michael Sanden to bring you the MasterDesign range, a range of high-quality instruments that are bound to impress. We are thrilled to have Michael Sanden visiting three DV guitar centres to present a Tanglewood MasterDesign Master Class with these beautiful guitars.
Michael Sanden studied to be a luthier under Bozo Padunavac and Goerg Bolin in San Diego and he’s been a Master member of the Guild of American Luthiers since 1983. He now lives and works with his wife, Kari, in a little village called Gärsnäs in Sweden. His sleek, modern design, along with the use of only the best materials such as Tibetan Sitka Spruce and Indian Kerala Rosewood, makes the Tanglewood MasterDesign guitars truly inspirational instruments.
Spend an afternoon or evening in the company of Michael Sanden and Tanglwood guitars. We'll be keeping the beer chilled and the atmosphere warm.

Tanglewood MasterDesign Guitars
The Tanglewood MasterDesign jumbo-esque spruce/rosewood auditorium and jumbo guitars are a concise range of upmarket models produced by Tanglewood in collaboration with the highly regarded Swedish luthier, Michael Sanden. Features of Sanden’s originals include the paintbrush-stroke bridge, tapered curvy-top peg head and a zero fret, and they’re all here on these elegant looking instruments. The slick mahogany/ebony neck has an intermediate 44mm nut span. The craftsmanship is to a very high standard, with trim including mahogany body bindings and front and rear rosewood headstock cappings. It’s not externally obvious but the TSR are actually electro acoustics, carrying a non-invasive B-Band A1.2 active endpin system with a volume thumbwheel hidden just inside the sound hole.
