Universal Audio UAD News: Yesterday UA released their most highly anticipated update to the UAD platform - Powered Plugins V6 software.
Version 6 represents a significant milestone for the platform and includes 3 stunning new plugins, the Ampex ART-102 Mastering Tape Recorder, Brainworx bx_digital V2 EQ and the infamous SPL Vitalizer MK2-T. This new release also sees a complete overhaul of the UAD plug-in workflow in Pro Tools, plus Mac OS X 10.7 Lion compatibility.
So what does this really mean for Pro Tools users? Well, for the first time UAD V6 RTAS plug-ins no longer require the FXpansion VST-to-RTAS adapter to load under Pro Tools. This means substantially faster load times, increased stability and tighter integration with Pro Tools software and its control surfaces.
