Roland GAIA SH-01 Synthesizer

Roland knows you love the vast range of synths it’s turned its hand to manufacturing over the decades, and has therefore decided that the winner of the Roland GAIA will simply need to show off their synth-playing skills on any old Roland model before 10th August 2012. Here's an explanatory video...

How to Enter

So grab your synth or keyboard and record a video of you laying down some music – anything from covers and quick licks to full on earth-shattering soundscapes and scores –posting it up on Youtube when you’re done. Then, send a link to your video directly to

Neil will pick out the ultimate winner on 10th August 2012, so have your video done by then and you’ll be in with a chance!

Got to get GAIA

The GAIA is certainly worth winning, created as an analogue-emulating, three-synth beast with a whopping 64-note polyphony. With controls that mirror an analogue signal chain and the option of in-depth computer editing too, the massive array of vintage tones achievable will make for an awesome live and studio tool alike.

We can’t wait to see and hear the results, and below is a video documenting the efforts of entrants so far! So grab your keyboard or synth - Roland models only remember - and get to work!
