Some DV customers have told us that their outdoor recordings using the RO9's internal microphones suffered from considerable wind noise. The manual suggests using the low cut switch to reduce the wind noise; however this is not so effective in all conditions, and would be better dealt with a bespoke wind shield.
The good news is that Edirol have launched the The OP-R09WS: an essential accessory for the R-09 Field Recorder. It is a wind shield to help reduce wind noise when recording in noisy, windy conditions.
