Sennheiser News: Sennheiser have announced a new entry-level XS Wireless Series. Drawing on years of wireless expertise the new range promises to be an affordable and easy-to-use solution to wireless mic'ing.

Sennheiser XS Wireless Systems

The XS Series comprises handheld, instrument, lavalier and headworn systems. Common to all is the EM10 true-diversity receiver making use of 2012-compatable 24 MHz wireless technology. Up to 12 systems can be used simultaneously, making the XS Series ideal for performance, presentation, public address and conference appliations.

The range consists of two vocal sets - the XSW 35 and XSW 65 - dynamic and condenser respectively, an instrument system - the XSW 72, and two presentation sets utilizing a body pack with clip-on microphone (XSW 12) or a headmic (XSW 52). The ethos behind the range was to make them simple to use - so they have been designed to automatically search for free frequencies. Transmitters are synchronised with their receivers via a wireless link and have a battery life of up to 10 hours.

Due to start shipping soon, the XS Series is set to be another great Sennheiser wireless range compatible with the 2012 digital switchover.
