Functions which can be controlled directly from the 01X include track arming, transport control, plug in editing, mixing, window selection and many more using existing and popular control protocols. Vocal Rack, Pitch FX, Final Master and Channel Strip Plug-Ins
The 01x includes a number of VST/AU plug-in specifically to complement the 01X’s internal processing.
Vocal Rack is a multi-effect VST/AU specifically designed for recording and processing vocals. It includes a High Pass filter, Compressor, Enhancer, 3 band EQ, De-esser, Noise Gate and Delay all into one easy to edit VST.
Pitch Fix automatically corrects the pitch and tuning of vocal tracks. Formant shift technology allows the correction or modifcation of pitch over an extremely wide range with exceptional natural sound.
Final Master is a multi band compressor that adds punch and clarity to your final mix without increasing gain. It’s a must as the final step in creating your final mix and mastering to CD.
Perhaps the most unique of the VST/AU plug-ins is the 01x channel strip. This is an exact virtual reproduction of the hardware based channel effects (4 Band parametric EQ and Dynamics) on the 01X. It allows a revolutionary new flexibility.
Settings done on the hardware of the 01X can be controlled and stored on your computer using the 01X’s Studio Manager software. The setting stored in the Studio Manager file can be imported into the VST/AU 01X Channel Strip. Conversely, edits done on the VST/AU can also be exported back to the hardware. Imagine recording tracks on the 01X, importing all your recording settings into the VST/AU plug-ins, continuing your mix with just your laptop and then later on exporting all those setting back to the 01X.
01X Effects Processor
The 01x uses the same DSP 6 chip used in all Yamaha’s current digital mixers, each one of the channels has a complete channel strip including phase reversal, high pass filtering, Yamaha’s legendary 4 band fully parametric EQ and a dynamic processor that can be used for compression, limiting, expansion, ducking or gating. The two 56 bit multi effects processors feature a wide variety of studio and instrument effects from Yamaha’s renown library of digital effects including the effects offered on top of the line digital mixers like the DM2000.
