Yamaha have announced a new range of A Series electro-acoustic guitars; the A5.
The instrument's body is based on the limited edition A6. This body can be made with either Rosewood or Mahogany that’ll be topped with Sitka Spruce. This top has been treated with Yamaha’s Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E) process that artificially ages the wood.
The new A5 preamp has also been updated to use Yamaha’s SRT tech, allowing the pick up to emulate a variety of mic placements in a studio setting. The A5 is finished in natural wood, and will include a hardcase.
As well as the release of the A5, the A1 and A3 models will be getting a complete overhaul.
