The StudioMaster Horizon 2018 powered mixer features a colossal 2000 Watts of power, twin DSP effects, dynamics processors, universal AC power input and two way active crossover.
The Horizon features an ultramodern design setting new standards in pro-audio equipment. Aluminium panels and custom extrusions create the elegant shape with emphasis on portability and minimum weight. The detachable shoulder strap leaves your hands free to carry mics or instruments – less trips in and out of the venue! A heavy duty poly-carbonate cover protects all controls whereas a retractable panel, fitted in the base, raises the mixer to the best working angle.
Inside the Horizon the electronics are also completely new to give superior performance with added features. The control surface has been completely re-evaluated too specifying only features the user needs, minimising panel clutter, putting the emphasis on the performance and not the equipment.
All mic/line input channels feature the celebrated VMS (Vocal Management System) optical compressor. Easy to set, it takes control of the input signal without the pumping or squashing of vocal dynamics, typical of one-knob compressor designs. Legendary StudioMaster three band EQ is fitted, with mid sweep, and a total of four auxiliary sends (2 selectable pre/post fader) provide effects and monitoring duties. 60mm smooth fader, Mute, PFL buttons, SIG and PEAK leds complete the channel strip.
The dual stereo and mic input channel gives maximum input flexibility as they can be used together effectively adding 3 more mic channels to the mixer. Three band EQ featuring the LO frequency set way down at 45Hz adding that Hi-Fi sound to backing tracks.
StudioMaster Horizon comes with studio quality reverbs and delays, getting you to the best effect quickly, including classic Vocal effects, ADT, large & small reverb and two plate effects. Fully adjustable delay from 10ms to 720ms along with variable regen completes each DSP section with individual or linked footswitch for on and off control.
The Horizon includes a two channel USB computer interface with signal source assignment. Playback from the computer can be routed to the main MIX output or to a stereo channel giving access to EQ and auxiliaries. The signal output to the computer can be from the main MIX, to record your performance, or from the DSP effect sends to make use of plug in effects you may have.
The twin 9 band graphic equalisers feed the MIX output which is routed not only to the internal amplifiers but also balanced XLR outputs and RCA phono sockets. The MIX 2 output provides a second stereo output adding flexibility for zoning applications. Also located here is a switchable two way 150Hz 18dB/oct crossover. When selected the main MIX receives frequencies only above 150Hz whilst the MIX 2 output gets everything below 150HZ – ideal for connecting additional
amplifiers and subs to your system.
Each amplifier channel supplies 1000 Watts into 4 ohms using Class G topology, stable into all loads with temperature & short circuit protection. The 80mm fan has variable speed control supplying enough cooling as required with minimum noise. The 10 – 40kHz frequency response specification translates into crystal clear mid & top ranges yet provides ultra solid bass.
12V flexi light socket, RCA phono record and playback sockets, 48V Phantom Power (switchable in two banks), insert send & returns, 80Hz 18dB/oct HI pass filter on mic channels and headphone socket complete the feature line up.
