E-commerce Web Developer (ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server)
We have an opportunity for an experienced ASP.NET developer to join our small, dedicated team based in Romford, Essex.
You will be working on a number of e-commerce projects and will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience, including both development and application support involvement.
You need to be educated to degree standard, achieving a good grade (preferably with a computer science or software engineering or equivalent degree) and possess full software project life cycle experience with a proven development background in the skills listed.
You will also need a passion for the web, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record for delivering projects.
Essential Skills
- ASP.NET with C# essential. Preferably at least 3 years of experience. (.NET version 2.0/3.5/4.0)
- JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (examples can be jQuery)
- Web Services, consuming and creating. (examples can be WSE or WCF)
- Object Oriented practices
- Commercial e-commerce experience of high transactional systems
- Good English and documentation skills
- Structured organised programmer with full software lifecycle experience
- SQL Server 2005/2008 experience (T-SQL, BIDS, performance tuning)
- Source code version control (examples can be SVN or Git) branching and merging
- Unit Testing (examples can be MSTest or NUnit)
- Refactoring, restructuring, optimisation, and code profiling
Desirable Skills
- Continuous Integration
- ASP.NET MVC
- AJAX and JSON
- Dynamic Data
- ORM Frameworks (examples can be NHibernate or Entity Framework)
- Knowledge of agile/XP practices

Sales Position, French & Italian Speaking
We have a sales position available for a French or Italian speaker at our head office in Romford, Essex. You will be working in an energetic, multinational team of skilled individuals, many of them musicians and producers. Ability and Willingness to learn will be essential.
- The candidate should have a good understanding of general grammar in French and Italian (written and spoken) as translating and interpreting information between the 2 languages will be an important component of the job.
- Another fundamental requirement will be a good all round knowledge and experience of Pro Audio equipment and Musical instruments (knowledge in guitar will be a plus) in order to supply advice and information on the products we sell.
- General computer skills essential.
- Good telephone manner.
- Previous sales knowledge, (especially in this specific field) will be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.
- Additional foreign languages advantageous (German, Spanish)
- Salary negotiable, dependant on experience etc.

Orchestral Specialist Position
We are looking for someone with a strong background in orchestral music and instruments to work in sales and marketing for the education and web sales department.
The role requires giving good quality advice about good quality instruments to customers over the phone and via articles in our online magazine and catalogue.
The ideal candidate will also have some ideas on how we can expand our range to meet the budgetary demands of the education sector as well as sourcing and testing new instruments for our catalogue and websites.
Candidates must have a very good technical knowledge of orchestral instruments and related accessories.
Previous sales experience would be helpful, but is not essential.
Other requirements include:
- A courteous, patient and friendly telephone manner - even under pressure
- High standards in written and spoken English
- Good computer skills
- Hours can be 08:30-16:30, 09:00-17:00 or 09:30-17:30
