The Allen & Heath GLD (32/22) is more than just a mixer - it is a complete digital mixing system, and inherits many key benefits from the larger iLive touring range. The GLD Standard system comprises of the GLD-80 digital mixer and AR2412 audio rack - giving you 32-inputs and 22-outputs.
At its heart, the GDB-80 mixer provides 48 input-processing channels, 8 stereo FX returns (fed by iLive’s acclaimed FX emulations), 30 configurable buses, 20 mix-processing channels, and DSP power to provide full processing without compromise. The mixer also features 20 motorised faders, analogue-style control section, touch-screen with fully-customisable drag 'n' drop layout, channel LCD display, plus a rotary control for direct access to gain, pan and aux/FX sends.
GLD delivers outstanding audio performance, with new high-end mic preamps, low latency operation, and the DSP acceleration. GLD systems connect via CAT5 (using the Allen & Heath dSNAKE protocol) and audio rack components can be positioned up to 120 metres away from the mixing console. Preamps can be controlled remotely and are scene recallable from the console. The AR2412 also includes a connection for personal monitoring systems.
The system also has the ability to record and playback a stereo signal from a USB memory stick. Standard iLive audio I/O option cards for Dante, MADI, EtherSound and ACE protocols can also be fitted. Allowing multi-channel record/playback, FOH/monitor splits, and connection to iLive systems, which can be easily configured using GLD's extensive soft-patching.
