LSR305 Professional Studio Monitor (Single) description:

The JBL LSR305 is a professional active studio monitor with a magnetically shielded 5” woofer and a 1” soft-dome tweeter.  These two drivers a powered by separate Class D, 41 Watt RMS amplifiers, giving a balanced high and low frequency reproduction.

The LSR305 contains the legendary JBL transducers so the long-throw woofer and damped woven composite Neodymium tweeter produce deep bass and smooth high frequency response beyond the human hearing range.  While we can’t hear that high, having exceptional performance in this area pushes the natural roll off at the top end of our hearing outside our range, causing the high frequency reproduction to be much more accurate.

The patented Slip Stream LF port design on the LSR305 works with the woofer to ensure the low frequency response is deep and full, while generating greater low end extension and reduced turbulence.  There are also LF and HF ‘TRIM’ switches which allow for additional control of the output to match the specific characteristics of your room.

The JBL LSR305 inputs on balanced XLR and balanced TRS connections.

The JBL LSR305 features include:

  • Frequency Range - 43 Hz-24 kHz
  • Max Peak SPL - 108 dB SPL C-Weighted

Review:
After ten years using Alesis monitor one mk2 passive and then KRK rokit 6 I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by these little beasts.

They sound great and pack plenty of welly even with a 5 woofer, this is all testament to the clever design by JBL.

The main thing that amazed me about these (apart from the ridiculously low price) was the way mixes translate very nicely to other systems after mixing on these.

For the money these are a must buy, check out on YouTube a comparison against krk rokits and yamahas ... I found these to be the best )

Great speakers! Highs are clear, low end is punchy. Mid range could be better but for the price of this speaker I doubt you'll find anything better.

Strong bass for a 5 driver, clean flat sound. Mids not as pronounced as some might want, but for the price, an excellent monitor. Highly recommended.

Great sounding monitors....and for the price? What's there to complain about. Outshine's my HS5's by a long shot in the bottom end also going to take some getting used to to readjust my ears etc. Have recently bought the TS10 to go with these which should make for a decent (and possible neighbor annoying) addition.

A pleasure for the ears. You can close your eyes and forget where you are. Very good highs and massive lows for the size. Can't fault it in any way.

Review:
These are my first studio monitors and I thought I'd get these because they had better reviews than the KRK Rokits. I'm so glad I did the research and bought these instead.

The sound on these badboys are amazing! They do an outstanding job and I didn't think I'd be able to get such high quality at this price.

Impressive little speakers for the money with surprisingly flat and accurate sound given their size limitations. It's genuinely hard to find fault at this price so I'll just give them a huge thumbs up and say highly recommended.
