H2 Field Recording Bundle description:

The Zoom H2 Field Recording Bundle Includes H2 Handy Recorder, 4GB SD Memory Card and Zoom H2 Silicon Jacket.

The Zoom H2 has dual X/Y configured stereo mics facing front and rear. This is ideal for capturing a wide and contiguous stereo image. There are two sets of mics - one pair facing the front and one pair facing the rear - allowing you to record at 90° from the front or 120° from the rear. You can even use both two pairs to produce a four-channel recording with 360° coverage.

The H2 has an integral USB interface with an audio interface function, making it usable as a USB microphone. The H2 uses WAV 96kHz/48kHz/44.1kHz and MP3 up to 320kbps VBR data format. The EXT MIC IN feature allows the connection of external powered microphones, and the H2 also has a time stamp function for recordings. It is also possible to use PC authoring software to arrange 4 channel data into the Dolby 5.1 surround sound format.
