Turnkey and Sound Control News: We are saddened to hear that many of our music industry colleagues at Sound Control Holdings, Sound Control Musical Instrument Stores and Turnkey (Music Technology Supplier) have been made redundant*.
Sound Control and Turnkey filed for administration on 30th April 2008. The Turnkey website currently states: “Whilst the Sound Control group remains in administration, no orders can be placed on this website”. Update: Both Sound Control and Turnkey have subsequently ceased trading.
The Daily Telegraph comments: “Britain's largest musical instrument retailer Sound Control Holdings has fallen victim to competition from the internet, appointing Deloitte as administrator, which has made 163 staff redundant.”

For telephone mail-order and internet sales, the £4 million of products we have “In Stock” are available for next (working) day delivery if the order is received and funds have cleared before 1pm. This is not a guarantee but our promise. In reality, over 98% of orders received before 2pm where payment has cleared are shipped that day for next working day (Monday - Friday).
For example, if we only have a quantity of one of a particular product, then our website will say “In Stock”. This product is available to sell in-store (stock can be transferred from any location to any location) or if you wish to have the product delivered because you have placed a telephone mail-order or an online order, the location with the stock will dispatch.
