Active 3-way studio monitor for near and midfield applications
The Adam S3V Midfield Studio Monitor (Single) features a 9" woofer with a total output of 850W RMS across a frequency response of 35Hz-50kHz. This monitor contains XLR input connectors. The S3V is a three-way studio monitor optimised for vertical use and midfield applications. Bass frequencies from 32Hz-250 Hz are dealt with by the new 9" Extended Linear Excursion (ELE) LF driver that incorporates the Symmetrical Magnet Assembly (SMA), thereby delivering a powerful, accurate low end, down into the sub-bass region. Mid-range and HF frequencies are reproduced with equal precision thanks to a 4" DCH midrange driver and the S-ART folded-ribbon HF driver.
The custom-designed DSP optimises loudspeaker crossovers to create linear responses for the whole range, and provides user equalisation and in-room tuning/voicing functions. The DSP also handles the limiter-based high-frequency driver protection and processes the signals from the AES3 digital inputs. Built-in amplification comes from Class-D units for the bass (500W RMS) and mid-range (300W RMS) drivers, and a 50W Class-A/B amplifier for the S-ART tweeter.
