The Audix OM7 Dynamic Microphone is highly regarded by artists and engineers for its ability to produce quality sound at very high sound pressure levels without distortion or feedback. The Audix OM7 is naturally attenuated at 120 Hz to reduce boominess and handling noise. The mid-range is tailored for clarity and presence making it easier for the vocals to be heard both in the mains and monitors.
By employing Audix’s VLM (very low mass) capsule technology, the Audix OM7 has exceptional transient response. An extremely tight and uniformly controlled hypercardioid pattern helps to isolate the vocals from the rest of the instruments on stage. The Audix OM7 is comfortable to hold, durable, and manufactured with extremely tight tolerances. The result is an unparalleled consistency in sound and performance at a very competitive price.
The main features of the Audix OM7 Dynamic Microphone include:
This very high quality built-in microphone, but it has, I think, over-weight for hand-held microphones. The microphone has a thin body, so splendidly in my hand. Especially the frequency response is such that the microphone, I believe, will approach the artists with a very explosive bottom and weak middle and upper middle, as well as for rap artists. This microphone is practically not respond to rapid changes in the intensity of the low frequencies. This is amazing! This is the first microphone with such a feature that was in me. The range is from 5 to 8 kHz noticeable rise, but the letter "c" is not distinguished from the overall sound. Not suitable for women with a soprano voice, as very clearly responds to a range of 2 to 5 kHz. Due to the lack of built-in transformer coil is very quick to respond to changes in the sound, so the sound is very accurate. On the stage with other tools is not lost in the mix, even without EQ (!) And extremely protected from external noise on stage. This is a very important factor for small scenes and rock musicians. My attitude to it - is a great microphone for vocals. Excellent replacement for many of the microphones that are used as the industry standard.
