Behringer Ultragain Digital ADA8200 at a glance
The Behringer ADA8200 is the successor of the widely used Behringer ADA8000 converter. Just like its predecessor, this eight-way AD/DA converter features an ADAT interface, making it easy to add to existing setups. For converting a digital multi-track signal to analog - or vice versa - the ADA8200 is just the right device. Its Cirrus Logic 24 bit converters provide the highest quality signal processing. In addition, the Ultragain Digital ADA8200 features 8 Mic Preamps from the well-known company Midas with 48V phantom power per channel.
I'm using the ADA8200 to expand my Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 beyond the 8 analog input channels it has, with the ADA8200 I have now 16 inputs to support simultaneous monitoring of multiple synths. Works well. I haven't used yet the outputs or mic preamps, so cannot comment on those, but otherwise I am very happy so far with the ADA8200.
i am nicely surprised by the sound quality of this converter box. i use it to have more inputs on my 01V96. The liveshow i do has large diagram mics and huge dynamics and the 8200 deals perfectly with that. Would recommend it to others. (would ? i just dit no?:-)
I bought this to patch up to my audient ID22 interface. It worked straight away without any issues and sounds perfectly good for its price. I’d say it’s worth even twice it’s current price.
