Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K Pro

With the Studio Cameras, BlackMagic Design presents the most advanced standalone studio cameras in the world. Blackmagic Studio Cameras offer the same features as large studio cameras, but are small, compact and portable. With the dynamic range and color processing of a digital film camera, studio cameras let you achieve cinematic images even in the most challenging lighting conditions. The sensor is designed for ISO values up to 25,600. So you can create amazing images even in dimly lit environments. Even in moonlight! Advanced features include talkback, tally, camera control, a built-in color corrector, Blackmagic RAW recording to USB discs and more. You can even connect Focus and Zoom Demands for iris control.

BlackmagicStudio Camera 4K Pro

Designed for high-performance SDI mixers, the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro features a 4K sensor for ISOs up to 25,000, an MFT mount and a 7" LCD touchscreen with sunshade. The Studio camera also comes with professional 12G-SDI and 10G Ethernet connectivity. This is optimal when the camera is far away from the mixer. There is a 12G-SDI output and a 12G-SDI input for program feedback with camera control, talkback and tally. The powerful HDMI output supports the same control commands. On top of that, the 10G Ethernet connection enables SMPTE-compliant workflows over a single cable in a cost-effective way.

Designed for live productions

Although the Blackmagic Studio Camera is designed for live productions with mixers, it can also be used in other ways. Because it records Blackmagic RAW to USB discs, it comes in handy in all scenarios with tripods. Because of the large 7" viewfinder, the camera is perfect for chat shows, TV productions, news broadcasts, sports, education, conferences and even weddings. The large bright display with side grips, touch screen and buttons makes it easy to follow along with settings while still being comfortable for long periods of time. Because it weighs so little, the camera is ideal for frequent location changes and a wide variety of tasks.

Revolutionary studio camera design

Large broadcasters use expensive studio cameras that are massive but not particularly portable. Because of its compact design of camera and viewfinder, the distinctive Blackmagic Studio Camera offers the same advantages as the big studio cameras. Its lightweight fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate miniature body is designed with innovative technology. The camera is designed for live productions. The large 7" viewfinder makes tracking and framing settings a breeze. The touch screen offers menus for camera settings. There are knobs for brightness, contrast and focus peaking. A tripod mount with mounting plate for quick setup is included!

Affordable photo lenses

The Blackmagic Studio cameras' common MFT lens mount provides compatibility with a wide range of affordable photo lenses. The quality of these lenses is top-notch, as they are designed for high-resolution photography. Remotely adjust the aperture via the electronic lens mount. Expand the camera with optional Focus and Zoom Demands, and adjust aperture zoom and focus via the tripod handle instead of manually, as with large studio cameras. So you can avoid shake, track settings and operate the camera without taking your hands off the tripod grip. This is as smooth as with expensive B4 broadcast lenses.

Powerful broadcast connections

Blackmagic Studio cameras feature a wide range of connectors for connecting to consumer and broadcast equipment. All models feature HDMI for tally, camera control and trigger recording, making them perfect for ATEM Mini mixers. In addition to headphone and mic ports, there are two USB-C expansion ports. With 12G-SDI, 10GBASE-T Ethernet, talkback and balanced XLR audio inputs, the advanced Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro model is designed for broadcast workflows. For fast setups, 10G Ethernet supports video, tally, talkback, and power over a single connection! This is similar to an SMPTE fiber optic workflow, but with lower cost Category 6A Ethernet copper cable.

Four connection options

The Blackmagic Studio Cameras can be integrated into setups in numerous ways. HDMI makes all models perfect for HDMI mixers like the ATEM Mini. For broadcast-style workflows, the HDMI connection supports video, tally, control and trigger recording signals over one HDMI cable. The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro's 12G-SDI connectors enable the use of SDI mixers such as the ATEM Constellation. The 12G-SDI output is used for the camera feed, while the 12G-SDI input is used for the return program feed. The signals for tally, talkback and remote camera control are included in the return program feed. Via 10G Ethernet, video output, program return, tally, talkback, camera control, and power are available via regular Category 6A Ethernet cables.

USB expansion port for accessories

Both Blackmagic Studio Cameras are equipped with a high-speed USB-C expansion port that allows recording to external drives and connection of many accessories. To external USB drives, the camera records high-quality Blackmagic RAW files in 12-bit for later editing and color correction. For editing, simply drag them to a computer without wasting time copying. You can even connect focus and zoom demands for full iris control. Plus, the USB port powers any connected phone or drive.
