The B16 Mothership offers up to 16 analog channels when fully equipped. With its card-based system and a robust 2U chassis, the B16 Mothership has 2 slots for daughter cards and is equipped with an internal power supply. It can be operated with different motherboards and thus be integrated into your personal setup via Digilink, MADI, Dante, AES/EBU or SoundGrid. Exactly the same modular plug-in cards can be used in the B16 as are used in the B80, all featuring a discrete class-A signal path without integrated circuits or capacitors. The B16 Mothership is the result of over 30 years of tireless research and development. The uncompromising design strategy is immediately evident in the impeccable build quality.
The B16 Mothership is designed for anyone who has ever wanted an M80 Mothership in a smaller format. With its fully configurable plug-in card system, the B16 can be used to create a transducer for any situation. A typical configuration for the B16 M othership is a system with 8 inputs and outputs. However, it can also be configured as a tracking system with 16 inputs or as a portable mix rig with 16 outputs. If required, BAES4 cards with 4 AES I/Os, or BCLK cards with 8-word clock outputs can also be installed. Digital connectivity is also fully configurable and is controlled by an interchangeable motherboard. Burl Audio offers five digital motherboards for the Motherships: BMB1 (Digi-link), BMB2 (MADI), BMB3 (Dante), BMB4 (SoundGrid), and BMB6 (AES/EBU).
