The Chase Bliss Audio Thermae presents an interesting new approach to analogue delay and harmonization effects. The analogue signal is digitally manipulated by 4x re-issued versions of the legendary MN3005 bucket-brigade delay chips, permitting changes to delay time in creative intervals, and increasing the scope of your effect toolkit. Intervals can be processed automatically or manually as desired, and the Thermae can still be employed as a more conventional analogue style delay, albeit with extensive modulation options. The dip switches at the rear of the unit give unprecedented control over your effect behaviours.

Chase Bliss Audio ThermaeThis pedal is simply awesome. It is not a delay for everyone, but a niche product, capable of producing exquisite pitch-shifting effects. Highly recommended! I do not give the sound five stars though, because aliasing is clearly present. Not digital aliasing - it's an analog delay - but aliasing inherent to how analog BBD delays work. Chase Bliss purposely didn't filter the aliasing it out, because it gives this pedal a certain "life". A bit too much for my ears, but still, and exquisite product!
