The exclusively prepared virtual hammer action technology simulates the hammer motions in a grand piano and allows outstanding authenticity and dynamics while playing the piano sounds. The triple-sensor keyboard allows precise control of the key motions, which is exactly the kind of dynamic interplay required during live performance.
The Clavia Nord Piano 3 has 1GB of memory for sounds from the Nord Piano Library and has been carefully selected for each specific and individual character. The detailed sampling reproduces piano sounds with breath-taking authenticity. The sample synth section in the Nord Piano 3 has 256MB of memory and offers a basic selection of high-quality sampled sounds from a wide range of genres, such as the exclusively licensed sounds of the Mellotron and Chamberlin. In addition there are synthesizer sounds, which contain a very good selection of analogue classics as well as digital models, ideal for playing thick layered sounds.
The Nord Piano 3 offers all the options necessary for live performance. All important functions can be reached directly and quickly. Transpose, set up a split points or create layered sounds - everything is within reach.
The Nord Sample Library 2.0 is constantly updated and new additions can be downloaded for free. The Sample-Synth section provides settings such as Attack, Decay / Release, Dynamic Control, and Volume of the selected sound. The volume and sostenuto can also be controlled with optional pedals.
Using the shipped Nord Sample Editor software you can even create your own sample instruments. Load the .wav files and assign them to the keys on the keyboard. The Nord Sample Editor can also help you to map loops and sounds.
