Synthesizer Drum Machine Plugin modelled on the Roland 808

Nepheton is a drum machine plugin that D16 Group closely resembles the classic Roland TR-808 synthesizer and emulates its sounds excellently. Numerous additional functions lift the classic to a new level and continue to make it a timeless element of electronic music. This makes it not only an excellent plugin for fans of 80s retro sound, but also for musicians and producers of all electronic and hiphop genres.

All sounds and detailed nuances of the original have been perfectly captured. The modules of the plugin were equipped with additional control parameters for Deep Tone and Envelope. The output configurations are extremely flexible, as the audio signal from each module can be routed to one of the 12 outputs. This allows you to redirect each source into a separate aux channel and further refine the sound with other plug-ins. Each output can be set to mono or stereo. For the fans of the original 808, however, the well-known trigger output was also made available.

Each module has a mute button and a solo button, whereby the mute button does not simply mute the module, but prevents it from triggering, which saves system resources. The solo button also prevents one of the other modules from being triggered.

Besides extensive MIDI control options (MidiCC, Midi Learn, Syncoption, etc.), the Nepheton contains an internal sequencer with two pattern banks: simple and extended. There are 16 extended and 96 simple samples, which can be edited very traditionally with the step buttons or the tap function.

Simple patterns are controlled in host mode, where each pattern is assigned a position as a midinode number. By entering notes in the DAW, you can trigger complete drum patterns.
Advanced patterns differ in that they consist of 4 segments (Variations A&B and Parts 1&2). The entire bank of 16 patterns is divided into two groups of simple patterns and intro/fill-in patterns. You can select played patterns, apply variations, and enter modes (automatically or manually triggered). You can also have the Start Pattern preceded by an Intropattern and much more.
A randomizer is also part of the plugin. This random generator can either be applied to finished patterns to make small changes to individual parameters, or create completely new patterns - ideal if you've been suffering from writing blockage for bridge part too long.
Thanks to these and many other functions, the Nepheton not only provides you with a wonderful emulation of the 808, it also provides you with numerous helpful tools for the addition, for a fraction of the price of the original device.
