The Dingwall Combustion 4 naturally comes in modern multiscale construction, the distinctive feature of the Canadian company. Each string of the 4-string Bass has an optimally matched length between 34" (864 mm) at the G and 36.25" (921 mm) at the low E, so that a precise and tight sound presentation is guaranteed. In addition to the swamp body, which is perfectly balanced both standing and sitting, with an elegant cloud maple top, Dingwall relies on a bolt-on, five-piece maple neck, whose pleasantly slim "Medium Thin C" profile lets every groove come out of the fingers with ease.

Three pickups and active EQ for multi-faceted bass sounds
At the bass amplifier, the Combustion 4 3PU E-Bass turns out to be a true all-rounder, to which no musical genre is alien. The Dingwall FD-3N pickups, armed with powerful neodymium magnets, promise smooth bass sounds that assert themselves optimally with a well-measured aggressiveness and punch even in the densest Mix. A 4-way rotary switch calls up the three pickups in different combinations, so that the four-stringer comes up with both tradition-conscious and modern tones, which can be precisely adjusted to one's own ideas with the help of EMG's active 3-band equalizer. Thanks to the mini switch above the pots, the electric bass guitar can also be played in classic passive mode.

A high-quality and perfectly matched hardware equipment completes the Combustion 4 3PU MN Vintageburst Multiscale Bass by Dingwall. On the body, the four Hipshot/Dingwall single bridges not only support the bass guitar's tight tonal character, but also guarantee optimal adjustment of the intonation and height of each string. On the minimalistically designed headstock, the strings are also guided with a straight pull to the Hipshot/Dingwall Ultralite tun ers, which keep the Bass securely in the correct tuning and counteract unwanted neck dive due to their light weight.
