The ESP LTD BUZ-7 See Thru Black Buz McGrath Signature guitar was developed in close cooperation with the versatile lead guitarist of the Boston metalcore institution Unearth and accordingly proves to be the ideal working tool for virtuoso high-speed solos and tight riffing. The elaborate neck-through construction with fast "Extra Thin Flat" neck promises buttery smooth playing characteristics for the playful implementation of modern playing techniques, while Fishman Fluence SRC Signature pickups provide marrow-shaking sounds with a powerful low end and enormous assertiveness. Last but not least, a Floyd Rose 1000 Series Double-Locking Tremolo and Grover tuners complete the LTD BUZ-7 See Thru Black 7-String electric guitar from ESP.

Optimally tailored to the complex lead and rhythm playing of modern metalcore, the LTD BUZ-7 combines a punchy tone that precisely engages even the B string with agile handling. The classic 25.5" scale length (648 mm) intricately built neck-through 7-string guitar, together with the flat and thin profile of the full-length maple-walnut neck, promises top-notch playing characteristics with easy access to the highest registers on the Macassar ebony fingerboard. On the alder body wings, a beautiful Quilted Maple top also provides a somber yet elegant look.

To elicit contemporary metal sounds from the guitar amp with precise representation of all strings even during drop tunings, Buz McGrath relies on active Fishman Fluence SRC Signature pickups with ceramic magnets at the bridge and alnico magnets at the neck for his LTD BUZ-7 guitar. The modern humbuckers have two distinct voicings that can be switched via push/pull switch in the volume control and either evoke the crisp sound of tightly tuned active pickups or offer the organic pressure and fluid feel of traditional overwound humbuckers. In addition to the volume knob, the LTD BUZ-7's straightforward circuitry features a 3-way pickup selector switch.
