With its powerful 60 Watt amplification, the Fame Megatone PL-60 B Combo is powerful enough to start jamming in the practice room and even for smaller gigs. The 12” speaker ensures for powerful low-end that you will feel in the pit of your stomach.
The sound of the Megatone PL-60 is variable and can be precisely adjusted with the 7-band EQ, while a switchable compressor compensates uneven levels ensuring for a balanced playback with long sustain. External effects can be integrated via the serial effects loop on the rear.
Purchased for my friend bass player. Hes totaly saticfied with this amp. This thing IS LOUD! Windows are trembling at half volume turned. Takes fuzz -pedals well. Checked it with LSTR and Megalith fuzz. Delay is well taken either. Not heavy weight, so its transportable. Head phones out is a nice feature too, for home playing. A pitty that this amp DOESNT have external out to speaker cabinet! It looks like GAIN pot doesnt much affect the sound. No distortion comming out. Else is fine.
Its the perfect choice for begginers. Just plug in and you have 60 watts of power in your hands. Really, really cheap for its power. Doesnt have much features and the sound is not close from perfect but you wont find any better for this price
The price of this amp is awesome, just for 100 euros you get an amp that is pretty decent...
Its sturdy, very heavy too, wont break to soon.
The sound quality is decent, not the best out there but it does a good job.
I had some problems with the high and low channel though, couldnt get both working at the same time :/
Also I dont get why there are 2 EQs on this amp, I think one is enough, instead they could have added a chorus effect or something?
Idk
Anyways pretty good, not the best but well for its price.
It is a good amp for beginners.
I tried using it for band rehearsal, but did not had enough power.
For sound quality, I would choose another equipment.
If you are absolutely new to playing bass, it is a good choice consideration. But perhaps for some few more euros, you could be better suited.
