is an authentic interpretation of the legendary versatile electric bass from the 1960s, offering historically correct construction and distinctive vintage sounds. The four-string bass features an alder body and a bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Its slim profile is the perfect foundation for finger-ready electric bass playing. Two Fender Pure Vintage '64 Jazz Bass Single Coil Pickups, together with the classic passive circuitry, provide distinctive sounds in a wide range between Funk, Blues and Rock. A classic Fender 4-Saddle Vintage Style bridge and Pure Vintage Open Gear tuners complete the Fender American Original '60s Jazz Bass RW Sonic Blue.
The construction of the Fender American Original '60s Jazz Bass follows the historical guidelines from the golden era of guitar building. Accordingly, the body with traditional offset proportions is made of alder, while the screwed maple neck carries a "round laminated" rosewood fretboard. Here, the "60s C" profile with a slim 38 mm nut width lies extremely comfortable in the hand, so that even complex bass lines can be played with effortless ease.
The Fender American Original '60s Jazz Bass RW Sonic Blue uses two Fender Pure Vintage '64 Jazz Bass Single Coil pickups made with traditional materials. The single coil pickups feature coil bodies made of vulcanized fiber, enameled copper wire and Alnico V rod magnets. At the amplifier, they deliver versatile and fat vintage sounds, ranging from the dry punch of the bridge pickup to the super low bass foundation of the middle pickup. Pickups are managed using classic passive electronics, including two volume controls and a treble control.
Last but not least, the Fender American Original '60s Jazz Bass offers traditional hardware features that deliver authentic style and unwavering reliability. The body features the proven Fender 4-Saddle Vintage Bass Bridge with four individually adjustable string tabs for accurate intonation and comfortable string action. At the same time, the grooved surfaces of the "Barrels" allow a certain adjustability of the string spacing. The headstock of the Fender American Original '60s Jazz Bass RW Sonic Blue also features a bone saddle that guides the strings to the precision Fender Pure Vintage Reverse Open Gear tunes.
