In the construction of the '60s Dual-Mag II Strat, the Fender Custom store pays special attention to the ideal combination of classic feel and lively sound. While the body is built with the typical "Contour Body" shapings from carefully selected alder wood, stable, radially cut flamed maple in AA quality is used for the bolt-on neck. The pleasantly narrow "'60s Style Oval C" neck profile and the modern 9.5" radius of the rosewood fingerboard (241 mm) also promise smooth playing characteristics up to the highest registers. The absolute highlight of the electric guitar is also the lovingly executed Super Heavy Relic finish, which recreates in detail playing traces collected over decades.

At the heart of the Limited Edition '60s Dual-Mag II Stratocaster are undoubtedly the namesake Custom Shop Dual-Mag II single coils with different Alnico types for the bass and treble strings. While under the E, A, D and g strings classic Alnico V Rods provide a warm output with brilliant Fender trebles, weaker Alnico II Pole Pieces with beveled edges promise a smooth and glassy sound of the h and e strings, so that at the guitar amplifier a particularly balanced sound is ready for Clean and Overdrive. The reversed winding and polarity of the center pickup also promises hum-free performance in the intermediate positions of the 5-way switch. In addition to the "½-Blender"-Wring, which by mixing the neck pickup in switch position 1 and 2 calls up the combinations of neck and bridge pickup and all three pickup at the same time, which are not achievable with classic Strats, the Fender Custom store equips the electric guitar with the ToneSaver Treble-Bleed, which reliably prevents treble losses when the Guitar Volume is lowered.
