The DP 345-RW from Gewa is a pleasantly playable digital piano in a classic cabinet design with a valuable rosewood look. The German-made instrument features a weighted "Concert Pianist" keyboard with hammer action and 88 ivory touch surface keys, which provide an excellent playing feel. The digital sound generation provides a total of 15 different sounds - the piano samples are based on the popular Steinway D-274 concert grand piano. 256 voices make the digital piano fully polyphonic. The specially adapted stereo speakers are located inside an acoustic bar in the case, which is beneficial for the most realistic sound experience possible, and sonically beneficial for the reverb and modulation effects as well. Since it also communicates via Bluetooth, two-way exchange of audio and MIDI signals is no problem. So the instrument can eg. wirelessly transmit the audio signal to the home theater system or be played from the computer with appropriate music software. If the digital piano is not in use, the keyboard cover can be pulled out to protect the keyboard from dust and dirt, and the music stand can also be folded down.
Thanks to the Piano Remote App, many additional functions of the DP 345-RW can be conveniently accessed and adjusted in detail. In addition to the selection and editing of sounds and effect settings, the app gives you access to an extensively adjustable metronome function, easy handling of the Song Mode and a "Lessons" function that offers a number of lessons, especially for those who still want to practice. In addition, there is a "virtual piano technician" with which you can make adjustments to parameters such as string resonance, pedal resonance, hammer head, half pedal, Una Corda,
Thanks to two headphone outputs, it can be played and practiced undisturbed at any time of the day, even in duet. With the MIDI inputs and outputs, the Gewa DP 345 can be used as a keyboard for other sound generators, but can also be controlled as an expander. The MIDI connection can also be made via USB. Stereo outputs connect the digital piano to a mixing console, an audio interface or the home stereo system. The stereo input is intended for connecting a smartphone or CD player and integrating the music from it into the exercises.
