Traditional set-neck construction

For the construction of the Gene Simmons Thunderbird Bass Gibson USA relies on the classic set-neck construction with a long 34" scale length (864 mm) and mahogany neck and body, which creates the basis for an extremely powerful sound with well-dosed punch. The not too powerful "Rounded" neck profile also promises comfortable playing characteristics in all positions of the ebony fingerboard, in which chic Reversed Split Diamond inlays mark the positions.

Massive rock sound

At the bass amp, the Gene Simmons G2 Thunderbird naturally presents itself as a demonic rocker, whose powerful sound image hammers every groove into the pit of your stomach with full force. Responsible for this are the powerful Rhythm T-Bird and Lead T-Bird humbuckers, whose signals can be freely mixed via their own volume controls for an enormous variety of sounds. To adjust the sound, the electric bass guitar also has a passive treble control.
