Unlike the original, this fine studio version has an elegant rosewood body , which enriches the bright sound of the Sitka spruce top with rich basses and a quick attack, further enhanced by a thin nitro finish and a sophisticated Scalloped-X-Bracing . Although without the hummingbird engraving, the large pickguard makes it obvious at first glance that this excellent instrument is a fully-fledged member of the popular Hummingbird family and helps create a detailed and aesthetic appearance. A typical short mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard embellished with mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays allows the player to easily reach into all 20 frets which, thanks to a 43.8 mm nut width , offer enough room for solos or extensive chords. A Fishman Sonitone pickup system amplifies the acoustic sound of the guitar very naturally.
