The Gibson J-15 Electro-Acoustic 2018 (Antique Natural) is a 6-string electro-acoustic Guitar featuring a Spruce top, Walnut body, Maple neck, Walnut fingerboard and an Antique Natural finish. This new J-15 for 2018 features a round-shouldered Dreadnought body shape that can be driven by a hard pick attack, delivering rich, deep tones capable of handling lead-line picking too.
The J-15 is built with an attractive Sitka Spruce top, producing a broad dynamic range and crisp articulation, projecting a sparkling high response and tight, clear attack. Resonating whilst remaining strong and focused, this Guitar offers a clear sound with deep lows, warm midi-range and bright sparkling highs. Walnut back and sides add a strong and clear fundamental with a warm, earthy sound.
The J-15's Maple neck delivers bright characteristics with bite and sustain, whilst a silky smooth action enables a snappier attack in the mid-range with a punchy, slightly gnarly edge when driven with a hard pick attack. Topped with a Walnut fingerboard that offers a pleasing aesthetic and a balanced, unique tone, this neck provides stability and sonic warmth.
An L.R. Baggs Element system featuring a low-profile under-saddle pick-up and an unobtrusive and removable volume/tone control mounted just inside the sound-hole, this guitar delivers a robust, lively, and natural acoustic sound with excellent dynamics and delicate high end.
