The Gibson Les Paul Classic 2017 T Lefthand is the absolute all-rounder in the current range of the American traditional manufacturer and convinces with the typical Les Paul feeling and sound. The proven mahogany construction with glued neck delivers the typical singing sound component, while two 57 Classic Humbuckers with their warm vintage sound make a big impression on the amplifier. A classic combination of Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminium stop bar as well as precise Grover Locking mechanisms round off the equipment of the Gibson Les Paul Classic T.
The Gibson Les Paul Classic 2017 T Lefthand is built according to plans established as early as 1952 and accordingly has a mahogany body with solid maple top and a glued mahogany neck, which together provide the basis for the singing Les Paul Sound. For added comfort when playing the electric guitar, the body also features the traditional 9 Hole Weigh Relief for weight reduction, while the neck's slim taper profile makes it easy to handle any chord and melody.
The hardware is perfectly matched to the Gibson Les Paul Classic 2017 T Lefthand and has a traditional look and contemporary functionality. The strings are held on the body by an aluminium tailpiece and guided over a Tune-O-Matic bridge, which ensures precise adjustment of intonation and string position. From there the strings are passed over the neck via the classic 24.75" scale (628 mm), where they first meet the traditional nylon saddle and then the grover locking mechanisms. They promise a precise and stable tuning, while at the same time making string changes much easier.
The Gibson Les Paul Classic 2017 T Lefthand is equipped with a Gibson'57 Classic Humbucker on the neck and a Gibson'57 Classic+ Humbucker on the bridge. With a moderate output and classic alnico magnets, they deliver a warm, powerful humbucker sound on the amplifier, which is perfect for bluesy licks on bursting overdrive or rocky riffs with juicier distortion. The classic circuit with 3-way switches and individual volume and tone controls allows a wide range of different timbres to be called up.
