Gibson SG Tribute 70's MET VS VG Vintage Sunburst Vintage GlossHad been looking for a decently priced SG for few years, but could not justify the high prices of the Gibson guitars, specially knowing that their QC has been bad for couple of years now. Stumbled across this offer from Musicstore and decided to pull the trigger on this guitar. For 440€ this is a steal and a very good price for a USA made Gibson, its from 2013 which is regarded a good year for Gibson craftsmanship, and this guitar proves it, very well made and finished (I tried many 2016-2018) Gibsons and all had some defects, but this one is well made.
It is very light weight and well balance, no neck dive at all! So a perfect guitar for playing standing for hours, without getting shoulder pain!
The guitar runs Dirty Fingers pickups which are very very hot, i first thought of returning it since the pickups are very loud and can reach extreme distortion... BUT after playing with the volume and tone controls (something i never do with my other guitars, since they have lower output pickups (volume 10 Tone 10) This guitar can do almost any style of music, just tweak the controls on the guitar and your amp and you can get crystal clear tones, good definition, lots of attack and a huge amount of distortion for metal... All in All, a very good and versatile guitar specially for the 440€ paid!
My only gripe is the miniEtune which is a nice innovation, but for me its pretty much useless, but its easy to take out and replace with normal tuners like Grovers or Kluson.
If you can still find one for about 400€ its definitely worth the money!.
