The fully solid Sitka spruce and East Indian rosewood construction guarantees a fat sound.

The classic wood combination of solid East Indian rosewood sides and back, combined with a solid Sitka spruce top provides a distinctly balanced sound. Sonically present in the highs, mids and represented by powerful basses, the Gibson Songwriter Antique Natural by no means lacks projection and assertiveness. The fully solid construction and the Scalloped-Advanced-X-Bracing also contribute significantly to a voluminous sound image for an expressive performance through improved vibration behaviour.

Mahogany neck with round neck profile.

It is not for nothing that mahogany is one of the most popular woods for guitar necks, because its high density combines stability with an acceptable weight. As a result, the mahogany neck with round-neck profile and rosewood fingerboard fits well in the hand and allows the picking hand to glide comfortably over all 20 frets. Meanwhile, the 43.8mm nut width fulfills the ideal conditions for powerful strumming and delicate flatpicking, while the compensated Graph-Tech TUSQ bridge inlay delivers extremely clean intonation across the 648mm scale.
