The Gravity LS TBTV 28 is a classic tripod light tripod with cross beam and two pull-outs made of thick-walled but light steel tube with powder coating. The completely redesigned base bell is made of die-cast aluminium for extreme durability and longevity.
The height adjustment with steel collar and safety pin is practically indestructible and guarantees a particularly stable locking. The ergonomic knobs of the adjusting screws are made of highly resistant ABS with a non-slip soft-touch thermoplastic cover for comfortable operation. The supplied cross beam has an elegant, ergonomic flange with a rubberised surface, which allows for easy and safe installation.
Gravity LS TBTV 28This purchase has without doubt been the worst experience of ordering A/V equipment from any supplier I have ever dealt with. The stands themselves are excellent and I would recommend them. DV247 have been a nightmare to deal with and I would strongly suggest that no one orders from them but rather finds a different supplier with UK based supplies. It turned out that the "Central Warehouse" was in Cologne in Germany and delivery took 2 1/2 weeks, not the 2-6 days promised. I received no confirmation of shipping and had to chase DV247 "customer service" (which turns out to be the folks behind the counter in the Romford store) to confirm dispatch and get tracking numbers. They promised to call me back and reply by email but they never did – I had to call three times and no attempt was made to explain what was actually happening to the shipment. The kit took a week to even show up on the DHL tracking system and the 2 stands were sent on different consignment numbers. Both packages were damaged and needed to go to DHL re-packing in Germany. When they were finally delivered the packaging was in tatters and one stand had a dent in one leg.
DV247 customer service is appalling, and I shall never deal with them again.
