The Broadcaster BK-J403-SCP is a return of a timeless classic. The USA Broadkaster is a revival of the same name, popular series from the 50s. The incomparable character of this culturally and technically formative period can be found in the Broadkaster series of Gretsch.
Broadkaster shells are 3 ply maple-poplar-maple. Each shell includes an interior ply scarf joint that supplies added structural integrity to thin, musical shells. Like all USA-made Gretsch drums, shell interiors are finished with classic Gretsch Silver Sealer. Bass drum & tom shells are hand finished with a reverse roundover bearing edge. This allows greater surface contact with the drumhead, resulting in a fatter, warmer tone. Snare drums are finished with a standard 30° bearing edge. Toms & snare drums are fitted with 302, double flanged steel hoops. These are similar to the original "stick chopper" hoops used in the 1950s, but are made from a heavier gauge steel. The thicker rims help to control overtones and to protect your sticks.
Broadkaster kits are available in two different hardware packages, standard and vintage. Standard package includes heavy-duty Gretsch lugs, spurs and straight-sided GTS tom suspension typical to Gretsch USA Custom and Brooklyn kits. The vintage hardware package features hardware component styles used on 1950s-era Gretsch kits, including drum mufflers, floor tom leg brackets, rail Consolette tom holder, spurs, bass drum T-rods, throw-off, key holder and Fiberskyn bass drum logo heads.
Componants: 12"x8" TomTom, 14"x14" Floor Tom, 20"x14" Bass Drum, GTH-SLC Single Tomholder & 4 Point Suspension
