The Gretsch G6136T-62-LTD Limited Edition '62 Falcon Bigsby White electric guitar is an authentic recreation of the first cutaway Falcon from the beginning of the wild sixties. Naturally, Gretsch Guitars uses a resonant hollow-body construction with a laminated maple body, which, in combination with the TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity pickups, promises lively sounds for rock'n'roll, rockabilly and nimble Nashville pickings. The set maple neck in the handy "Standard U" profile promises comfortable playing. In addition to the stylish Bigsby B6GVT vibrato tailpiece, the Gretsch G6136T-62-LTD Limited Edition '62 Falcon Bigsby White is equipped with the Twin Mute system for dampening the strings.
Being an authentic recreation of the '62 White Falcon, the Gretsch G6136T-62-LTD guitar naturally comes in a doublecut design that follows the classic construction. Accordingly, the resonance body with top, back and sides is made of laminated maple, so that the guitar comes up with a pleasantly woody acoustic timbre. Furthermore, the set "Standard U" maple neck offers comfortable playability that makes fast rockabilly licks and virtuoso finger pickings come off with ease.
The G6136T-62-LTD Limited '62 Falcon's electrical sound conversion is handled by two TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity pickups. As authentic replicas of the pickups developed by inventor Ray Butts for Gretsch Guitars, these humbuckers impress with an extremely clear tone that combines tight basses with a brilliant treble spectrum and thus translates every playing detail with lively dynamics. Furthermore, the typical vintage circuitry ensures tonal flexibility. Besides a pickup selector switch, the Gretsch G6136T-62-LTD has a 3-way tone switch for two distinctive treble cuts, separate volume controls for each pickup and a master volume. Last but not least, the standby switch allows the electric guitar to be muted during breaks in playing.
High-quality hardware in authentic and functional vintage style completes the Gretsch G6136T-62-LTD Limited '62 White Falcon electric guitar. The elegant B6GVT vibrato tailpiece decorates melodies and chords with dazzling pitch bends. A space-control bridge with wooden base sits on the body. The traditional mute system, activated by two levers on the top, allows damping of the bass and treble strings. On the headstock, behind the zero fret and bone nut, six Grover Imperial tuners ensure precise and stable tuning.
