The new Ibanez AE275BT Baritone is the latest addition to the Ibanez range of electro acoustic guitars in comfortable AE design . Thanks to a solid Sitka spruce top , a clear and powerful sound image is produced, which is particularly expressive in the mid and high frequencies, allowing the instrument to develop a defined and clean tone despite the low tuning. The medium sized shape and the laminated Okoume body enrich the instrument with warm bass frequencies, providing the necessary saturation and fast sound development. Excellent playability is achieved by a flat Nyatoh neck with Katalox fretboard , which perfectly balances the thick strings and the 685.7 mm long scale . In conjunction with the 45 mm nut width and a cutaway , this allows generous access to all 20 frets , making complex fingerings child's play even in the higher positions. The magnetic Ibanez AP11 pickup system can be individually adjusted via a volume and tone pot in the frame, giving the acoustic sound of the guitar a very unique touch when amplified. Elaborate inlays and a wafer-thin Natural Low Gloss finish , which gently emphasises the fine structure of the woods, create a unique look.
Had the original model of this and had to sell it on last year so was excited to see the new slightly upgraded model.
PLays like a dream and is very comfortable to use. No bigger than a dreadnought and the extra scale length isn't to noticeable.
Comes with a crappy clear temporary scratchguard that has kind of sharp edges but it peels off no problem.
BEautioful tones and well built. Pickup sounds great and the addition of eq controls is very welcome.
