The
AE325 LGS
is the latest creation from
Ibanez
' popular
AE series
. Thanks to its construction consisting of a
solid Sitka spruce top
and a
body made of flamed okoume wood
, the rounded design produces an extremely powerful and defined sound that is interspersed with warm and expressive bass frequencies. The
ultra-thin varnish
not only enhances the material's powerful vibrational behavior, but also provides the observer with a deep insight into the exciting grain of the woods. Due to the rather
flat
mahogany neck
, the instrument can be easily and comfortably played in all
20 frets
and thus offers enough space to master even more complex fingerings with little effort. This is further enhanced by the exquisite
Macassar ebony fretboard
decorated with a
Wooden Vine inlay
. Perfect intonation is achieved by the use of a
compensated bone saddle
and a matching
44 mm wide nut
, so that every note can develop cleanly over the entire
scale length of 651 mm
. The
chromed die-cast tuners
further show Ibanez' dedication to quality, as they guarantee light-footed and precise tuning with their
1:18 ratio
. An
Ibanez AP11 magnetic pickup system
completes this piece perfectly by delivering an unaltered and natural sound.
Bought the AE325 without playing first - bit of a risk - but really pleased with it. Required no set-up when it arrived, apart from a little tuning. Plays & sounds great unamplified & amped - although not tested the stereo output yet.
Love the look of the guitar overall, feels solidly built & has nice touches such as the neck inlay & sound hole detailing. Recommended.
