The Ibanez Bass Workshop SRMS806-DTW Multiscale Deep Twilight is a premium 6-string E-Bass with a hip multiscale scale length and a wide-ranging, well-defined sound for just about any style of music. Construction-wise, the Fanned Fret six-string features not only an okoumé body with a chic burl poplar top, but also a comfortably playable jatoba walnut neck with a fanned panga panga fretboard. The electric tone conversion is handled by Bartolini BH2 pickups with Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ for versatile sound. Last but not least, the Ibanez SRMS806 features six Ibanez MR5S single bridges and precise Ibanez bass machine heads.
The Ibanez Bass Workshop SRMS806-DTW Multiscale Deep Twilight 6-String Bass features individual scales for each string and impresses with first-class playing and sound characteristics.
With Multiscale scale length to a cleanly defined tone
The most striking feature of the Ibanez SRMS806 Multiscale bass guitar is undoubtedly its construction with individual scale length for each string, rising from 33.6 inches (854 mm) for the c-string to 35.5 inches (902 mm) for the low B-string and resulting in the strikingly fanned frets of the panga-panga fingerboard. The concept, familiar from the piano, allows each string to vibrate at the optimal length for its tuning, so each note sounds cleanly defined. At the same time, the balanced string tension allows for comfortable playability across all registers.
The ergonomic okoumé body and five-piece SRMS6 neck promise excellent handling of the SRMS806 electric bass.

Representing the Soundgear design optimized for ideal handling, the SRMS806 E-Bass offers high playability and a perfectly matched wood selection. The supple body with its typical ergonomic lines is made of okoumé and features a top made of intensively grained poplar burl. Attached to the body with four screws, the five-piece neck made of jatoba and walnut wood also bears a panga-panga fingerboard with oval acrylic inlays and 24 fanned medium frets. The pleasantly flat SRMS6 neck profile with 54 mm nut width and 19.5 mm thickness at the first fret creates ideal playing conditions for virtuoso soloing and band-friendly grooving.

For electric tone conversion, the Workshop SRMS806-DWT bass is equipped with two Bartolini BH2 pickups. As passive humbuckers with a narrow magnetic field and blade pole pieces, the pickups deliver a finely articulated bass sound that makes every note heard with a tight bass foundation, punchy mids and clear highs. furthermore, the active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band tone control is available, whose semi-parametrically designed midband with three selectable center frequencies allows particularly precise tuning of the sound pattern. The EQ bypass switch can also be used to deactivate the EQ and play the Bass passively.
Ibanez Die-Cast Bass Tuners keep the strings of the six-string SRMS806 securely in tune.
