The Ibanez PIB3 5-String Bass Guitar is the third signature model the brand has given to Peter Iwers, bassist in award-winning Swedish metal band In Flames.
The Ibanez PIB3 features a lightweight, ergonomically carved Mahogany body that is joined by a 34” scale five-piece Maple and Rosewood neck with a Unique PIB3 profile. The neck itself is topped with a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard that features a special PIB3 inlay and is finished off with a body coloured headstock. This combination of woods and design helps to produce a bass with incredible resonance and sustain that is comfortable enough to play for hours on end.
The body of the Ibanez PIB3 bass guitar is equipped with a pair of arched passive EXF-N2 pickups that have been specially designed to produce the most balanced output possible and clean, punchy tones. These are accompanied by an EQB-III three-band EQ that delivers a wide variety of different tones and makes the PIB3 much more versatile than its looks might suggest. Rounding out the hardware is a Mono-rail IV bridge that features isolated saddles for each string and a set of sealed tuners.
