Classic Soundgear Design with High Playing Comfort
The SR505 E-Bass has a body made of okoumé, which, thanks to the ergonomically curved design, lies snugly against the body and takes up an optimally balanced position on both the thigh and the bass strap. A high playability over all 24 frets of the rosewood fingerboard conveys furthermore the extremely slim and smooth SR5 profile of the bolted, five-piece neck made of jatoba and walnut.
Passive Bartolini BH2 humbuckers and an active 3-band tone control with selectable center frequencies for the mid control promise diverse bass sounds.

For electric tone conversion, the SR505E bass guitar relies on two Bartolini BH2 pickups. Equipped with Blade Pole Pieces, the Bass humbuckers deliver a precisely articulated sound with a tight bass foundation, wide-ranging mids and a silky treble spectrum, providing the ideal foundation for grooves ranging from blues to pop, jazz, rock and metal. To customize the sound is furthermore an active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band tone control on board, whose center control has a triple switchable center frequency for the mid control. With the help of the EQ bypass switch, the five-stringer can also be played in classic passive mode.
Encapsulated Ibanez die-cast bass machine heads keep the Soundgear SR505 securely in tune.
