The Ibanez TCM50E Talman Electric Acoustic is compact and lightweight, giving the player the same type of mobility as an electric guitar player on stage. The TCM50E-VBS has an Talman style body with an ash top, mahogany back and sides, a comfortable mahogany neck, a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, chrome Ibanez Smooth Tuner AS tuners, Ibanez Ivorex II nut/saddles and a rosewood bridge. The onboard Ibanez AP2 magnetic pickup produces a fat and warm sound, complemented with the AEQ200MT preamp, which has 2-band tone control and onboard tuner as well. The TCM50E delivers all the quality you expect from Ibanez at the right price.
Ibanez TCM50E Electro Acoustic GuitarWas looking for an acoustic that was easier to play live and in my practice chair than my dreadnought. I'm an electric player most of the time so I find it a bit cumbersome. The Talman appealed to me because of its size, looks and I can't lie that the price was great for what it is too. For my purposes, it's perfect. It's small and manageable while standing up so I can treat it a bit more like my electric but more importantly, I can play it without amplification. It's got a nice tone and flavour and in some respects sounds a little nicer than my other acoustic beast. Delivery from DV24/7 was quick and the guitar arrived well protected and ready for action. Great guitar for practice and plays well straight out of the box. Sounds very good through a PA as it has a pick up rather than usual transducers. For price can't be beaten. Talman TCM 50E's being sold in the UK do not seem to have a built in tuner in the pre amp which in my opinion makes life much easier. The guitar was listed as in stock in the central warehouse which is in Germany. No worries there as tracking was 1st class and delivery was timely. All in all a very good experience.
I am primarily an electric guitar player, so wanted a small-bodied acoustic that could play relatively easily. I am astonished with the quality of the guitar, and it plays so well. Although a little quieter than a full-bodied acoustic, it has a wonderful sound through the amp. It is really easy and fun to play and the design is beautiful. It's very quirky and I can't wait to play it live. It's taken prime position amongst my guitars. Great for female/smaller players. Fast and safe delivery. Top marks!
Smaller footprint than normal so easier to handle and plays similar to an electric guitar. Came very well packed with only a short delay due to COVID-19.
Would recommend this guitar and the music store DV247. Will buy from them again.
My fourth Ibanez and still find them a quality product for the price. The action was to high and strings to heavy when delivered but sorted that. Needs to be plugged in to hear the full tone spectrum at volume but overall I’m happy with the TMC50E with its shallow body feels very comfortable to play and although not a loud guitar it has a warm sound. Very happy with this guitar.
