Classically built Bass with high playing comfort
For the construction of the PBJ E-Bass, J & D relies on a traditional bass design and a classic wood combination. While the linden body convinces with a perfect balance on the bass strap as well as on the thigh, the bolt-on maple neck sits comfortably in the hand thanks to the not-too-big C-profile, so that the first bass lines can be implemented with ease on the rosewood fingerboard.
PJ pickup setup for flexible sounds.
Equipped with a PJ pickup set consisting of a split coil pickup in the middle position and a single coil pickup at the bridge, the PBJ Candy Apple Red Bass combines the sound character of the greatest bass classics in one instrument. Here, the split coil delivers a rich bass foundation that presses into the pit of your stomach with aggressive growl, while the single coil makes itself heard with high transparency and strong mids even in the densest band sound. In addition to a 3-way switch for pickup selection, the bass guitar comes with volume and tone controls for adjusting the sound.
Indestructible hardware equipment
Last but not least, J & D completes the PBJ Candy Apple Red electric bass with indestructible vintage-style Hardware. With four individually adjustable barrel stringers, the 4-saddle bridge on the body guarantees optimal intonation and string action adjustment. On the headstock, classic bass tuners with open gears also ensure accurate and particularly robust tuning of the bass guitar.
