Bought my first E-guitar ever! Tested it @ Music Store by letting a pro play on it... awful good sound! Very very good guitar for its price. You can go to the more known brands, but you will not find an as good sounding guitar for the same price! Not even for a bit more! Really happy with it! Rock on! ps: combine it with a Fender Mustang I (amplifier), what a machine!
A nice guitar for the money. Assuming the serial number dates the year model , this one is a 2018 build year with alnico pickups and full size Alpha 250k pots. It's wired 50's with no tone control for the bridge pickup which is 50mm pole spacing and all three measure under 6 ohms- vintage like . The middle pickup doesn't seem to be reverse wound which is a plus or me. I like the quack, it intonated perfectly and arrived very playable. No string buzz <9-42> and the action is fine . Not one flaw in the finish that I could find , the body is one piece and fret ends are smooth with machine marks on each saddle that is no big deal.
Blown away, nice solid weighty feel, beautiful finish, vintage looks with the mint green pickguard and tuners. Sounds amazing and plays great, I’d say this is equal or better than a classic vibe squier (I’ve owned two) and better than a Mexican made Strat. It feels very vintage and sounds very Stratty to me. I play it more than my other guitars which cost over £600 plus upgrades. It feels good, looks good and sounds good. Only downside is the fret ends are a bit sharp as to be expected from a mail order guitar with factory set up and the pickups do not appear to be entwistle as advertised. I will contact dv247 and see what they say about this. If you are looking to buy a standard standard Strat or classic vibe around £400-£500 I highly recommend buying this, see what you think and if it’s not good enough return it and then buy the fender. I am willing to Bet you will not return the jack and Danny and will have saved £370! If it helps I’ve played guitar since 1998 and have owned about fifty guitars ranging from entry level to high end fenders, this is as good as anything I’ve owned after a set up.
I have owned a bunch of Fenders across the range and this guitar keeps pace with all but the best of them. The pickups offer a balanced range of vintage tones and are surprisingly hot. The neck feels great in the hand, although not quite as slim as Fender’s modern C. The hardware is solid and holds tune nicely. The frets were perfect on arrival and it played beautifully out of the box.
Looks wise, this is a stunning guitar for the money, with great attention to detail. Only complaint is the tremolo cap doesn’t match the mint green of the pickguard/knobs.
Im very happy with this guitar. I love the tone and craftsmanship. Its deffinetly look and feel like much more expensive instrument. Its much better than Squire and not far from Mexican Fender Strat. I love the most neck which is ready well made with glossy laquer and steel frets .
You cannot go wrong with this guitar.
