The Jomox Mod.Brane 11 is a eurorack format analogue percussion module featuring the same membrane technology found on the M.Brane 11.
Two 2-pole F-OSCs oscillators are coupled to form a pseudo membrane effect, they are arranged in a format that allows for dampening type effects just like the membranes (skins) of a real acoustic drum, the Modbrane 11 is capable of creating anything from snappy snare sounds to metallic percussion and other acoustic sounds.
The sound is controlled through eight onboard rotary encoders; the first two encoders control membrane 1 pitch and damped rates the next two encoders control the same parameters for membrane 2. The next two encoders control the coupling between the two membranes with the next two encoders controlling noise and decay for the overall sound. Onboard is also an LFO with multiple modulation options and a metal noise generator for enhancing metallic percussion sounds.
As with all other Jomox percussion synthesizers you are able to store your analogue presets onto the onboard memory, giving you freedom to tweak away knowing that you’re able to recall that perfect sound you just made.
The Mod Brane 11 is fully modular and features a whole host of CV connections for connecting to other MIDI/CV and modular gear. The unit measures 3U wide and consumes ~120-140mA on +12V, ~80mA on -12V.
