The Redeye 3D from Little Labs is a DI and Re-Amp box. At the push of a button, the DI box with phase reversal and ground lift becomes a re-amp box with separate input and output jacks, phase reversal, ground lift and level control.
In "DI" mode, the signal is on the one hand looped through so that an amp can be controlled, and on the other hand the signal can be tapped at the rear XLR out. This way, the miked amp sound and the clean guitar signal can be recorded simultaneously. In "Re-Amp" mode, a line signal from the DAW is converted to a high-impedance instrument signal and can be used again to feed a guitar amp.
But the Redeye 3D is not only versatile, it also sounds great. Two specially wound transformers whose metal core and winding technology correspond to the legendary UTC transformers, allow simultaneous use as DI and re-amp. In addition, the Red Eye DI box has an outstanding high-impedance, phantom-powered buffer amplifier for instruments. With sensitive passive or piezo pickups, this prevents any load-induced change in sound. For active pickups or when the sound of a passive DI box is desired, the Redeye 3D can also be operated passively.
