The Ludwig LAP16HH HiHat stand is a versatile adjustable and sturdy hi-hat stand with a chrome finish. Double braced legs and a tube diameter of 1.75" respectively 1.25" make the construction durable enough for live and tour use. The quick-retract kick plate also helps. Simply loosen one screw and the stand can be packed away to save space. Thanks to the"Centroid 3-point stability system", the stand only sits on the outermost point of the pedak, so that the stand stands firmly like a real tripod. This also leaves enough space for the second pedal of a double pedal. From the step plate, the forces are transmitted smoothly and evenly thanks to the Progressive Action Linkage - a kind of double deflection via a cam plate. The secret here lies in the straight actuation of the tie rod, so that lateral tilting is prevented. Directly above this is the adjustable spring tension. Six different positions are available, which can be changed in no time at all. Thanks to the nylon inner lining as well as the robust tube clamp including memory lock, the stand stands firmly once set up and without developing any noise of its own. Last but not least: The Aerodisc Tilter. This small disc made of cast metal allows a stepless adjustment of the bottom cymbal angle. Of course, the direction of the angle can also be adjusted so that the cymbal points exactly where it should. Simply loosen the tube clamp, align the upper tube in the desired direction and you're done.
