cable management and midi daisy chaining had become an issue, this one box, at a very respectable price, simplified all cable aspects and implementation from my DAW. I'm very glad I made this purchase and only wish someone/ANYONE would have mentioned this before and saved me many months of teeth gnashing and cable chasing
So I was going to purchase the Motu 128 for my studio but did not need so many midi inputs/outputs. I then found out about the Micro which is perfect as I only have 3 synthesisers to connect. The product is compact, well built and does exactly what it says with no issues regarding clocking whilst working in my DAW. Thoroughly recommended.
There's nothing wrong with most Midi interfaces except that their drivers usually don't last longer than your latest OS. MOTU consistently keeps up with updates and supports this venerable device.
